John Rivenburgh, Founder
JOHN G. RIVENBURGH III, Orca Wave, LLC. John contributes to Orca Wave, with a broad range of skills–including a passion for deploying unique, competitive customer solutions, deploying innovation across many different technologies and an ability to co-lead an organization to the benefit of our customers, employees and other stakeholders.
Prior to founding Orca Wave, John was the co-Founder of Global Connect Partners, LLC which evolved into a rapidly growing telecommunications carrier’s carrier — providing a wide range of carrier solutions to 100’s of carriers across the globe. Global Connect Partners, was renamed, edge2net, LLC with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Sydney, and grew to $150 million annualized run rate. Prior to this, John was VP Strategic Development & Acquisition’s for FiberNet / XO, a Craig McCaw company that provided competitive CLEC services across the United States with primary responsibilities for acquiring unique strategic partnership relationships and purchasing companies. Before FiberNet, John was co-Founder and VP Marketing & Sales with Electric Lightwave, Inc. (ELI), that is a CLEC focused on the western United States for deployment. John managed all revenue and new products for ELI. Before ELI, John worked in the CATV industry as VP of New Product Development for Rogers Communications, based in Toronto, with primary responsibility for the USA CATV properties.
John has a MPA from Elliot School of Public & International Affairs in Urban Economics / Technology Transfer in Washington DC and a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Claremont McKenna College, in Claremont, CA.
John has a love of the outdoors with hiking, skiing, and biking as his main activity.
Jeri Wait, Founder
JERI S. WAIT, FOUNDER, Orca Wave, LLC. Orca Wave provides significant international telecommunications and software experience that encompasses several key areas of expertise in the industry. Jeri is one of the co-founders of Orca Wave, LLC, a globally oriented software company providing revenue assurance for voice and messaging solutions to telecommunications companies in the USA as well as across five continents. Her expertise in this industry includes global business development, P&L management, marketing, and sales.
Prior to founding Orca Wave, LLC, Ms. Wait was co-founder of Global Connect Partners which evolved into a rapidly growing telecommunications business ($150M annual revenue) providing a wide range of carrier solutions. Global Connect Partners, was renamed, edge2net, LLC with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Sydney. Previous to this she was a Vice President of Sales for US WEST Major Market customers with $600M in annual revenue. Her experience also includes business development for national and global expansion for !INTERPRISE, the data networking division of US WEST as several other positions in network, product development and operations.
Jeri has an Executive MBA from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a BS in Communications from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
Mark Schmidt, Chief Technical Officer
Mark brings 18 years of experience bridging technology, business strategy and product development together to transform these elements into successful business initiatives. Since 2005, Mark has helped develop and direct Orca Wave’s strategic evolution from a single Voice OSS/BSS bare-metal solution, to providing feature packed voice and messaging services to customers across the globe.
Hugo Sanchez, Global Account Manager
Multicultural, International Sales professional with over 6 years’ experience and 5 years working specifically with LATAM territories. His experience has been gained through working hands-on across the globe with a wide variety of clients and his expertise lies in finding the hidden value in areas many companies neglect. Experience building partner relationships while developing new territories. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with both partners and customers outside of the country and at satellite offices. Fluent in Spanish and English and able to communicate at a conversational level in Portuguese. He is a dynamic, culturally aware, detail oriented individual who firmly believes that building mutually beneficial relationships on a personal level in a sustainable environment, is fun and is not at odds with keeping a keen eye on the ‘bottom line’. Relationships are the key.
He takes a holistic approach, loves to interact with nature, loves soccer and always trying to improve both personally and professionally.
